Jayden's 4th Birthday!

Jayden had a wonderful 4th birthday party at school. She requested Hulk green cupcakes, so that's exactly what she got. After a fun day at school, the family headed to Shogun (Japanese Teppanyaki grill restaurant) for some more fun. We can't believe our little Jayden is so grown up! And in case you don't believe it, the other day she announced she was going to be a "cardiologist" when she grows up because they "help people's hearts". Yep, she's a little science genius :)

Gunnar turned 2!

Gunnar turned two years old a few weeks ago. He's a dancing fool and loves to do anything that involves true boy stuff: trucks, motorcycles, sports, hitting, super heroes. The list of male things could continue. He had a fun little pizza party with the family on his birthday, then an awesome trip to the aquarium in San Diego for his little party. 

We aren't sure if there are other 2 year olds that love cheesecake, but this kid sure does (I did NOT buy it for myself :)

Our day at the aquarium was great fun. The teacher, Mr. Art, was Jayden's BFF by the end of the day. All the kiddos got to feed the animals in the tide pool, touch real sea creatures, and make some sea star art. All in all, it was a fun day (with yet more cake). 

We can't believe the little man of the house is 2! Where does the time go!?!?! And when do boys finally start to settle down???

Jaycee Started Kinder!

Yes, I know I'm a bit behind on the posts, but Jaycee did start Kinder about 8 weeks ago. She is afternoon Kinder and is now loving it. She was a bit emotional and apprehensive at times, but once she's in the door she does just great. These are some fabulous pics of Jaycee and her siblings on her way in to her first day of Kinder (before the tears began). She is learning and growing each day and we can't believe our oldest in in elementary school! How old are we?!?!

 Even though Jayden wasn't going to school on this day, she was still a proud younger sister ready to go with her own backpack!

Gunnar is just as happy as his sisters about visiting school each day. We hope he keeps his enthusiasm for when it's his turn!

Jayden Rylee started preschool!

The most shocking growth for us has to be Jayden. She is such a character, is so funny, and enjoys all things fun in life. She officially started preschool today and it's very weird to not have her home. She is so excited to be at school and enjoys every minute of it. Slow down Jayden! We aren't ready for you to be so big yet!

Granite remodel

We've been busy working on getting our house the way we want it. One of the biggest upgrades we did this summer was installing the granite in the kitchen, on the fireplace, and the downstairs bathroom. Here are the before and afters. Couldn't be happier with the end result!

Santa Barbara- 4th of July 2013

Santa Barbara for 4th of July was great as always. We managed to get a lot done during our long weekend. The kids had a great time at the Natural History Museum and our favorite, PICKING BERRIES at the best organic farm ever! We can't wait to go back in winter, too bad we don't get the berries though!

Jaycee's PreK Graduation!

Jaycee finished her Pre-K class in June. She is now officially a KINDER KID! We don't know where the time has gone, but we do know she's as bright as ever and SO excited for Kinder to start next week!

It's been quite awhile since Blogging has occurred in this family! Here are a few of the things we've been up to:

It's been hard to take pictures lately, let along blog about them. Hopefully that will all change this summer when school is out and kiddos are home full time. Here are some great pics form Jaycee's Preschool Hoe Down. Everyone had a blast and we even got some happy faced pics from the event!

I know this pic isn't much, but it does show off the color and wainscoting of Jayden's new bedroom. The major thing she was insist on was BLUE paint!

Gunnar had a bit of a fall on the tile floor, but he still had energy to play inside their playhouse.
