Summer Vacation 2012: SOLVANG!

We are on our favorite summer vacation this week in sunny, perfect Solvang! We headed out to the Nojoqui Falls this afternoon, followed by a fun afternoon shopping and driving along the coast. Here are a few pictures from today's adventure.

Jaycee's Graduation/8 Months old

Fabulous things happening over here! Jaycee officially graduated from the "3 year old" classroom last week. She got the "Jewelry Queen" award because of her fashionista style that always includes some sort of jeweled accessory. She also got to be Jelly Bean's helper (the friendly clown). She was beyond excited to wear the feathered boa and her smile was HUGE! We are so proud of our little growing eldest. She is quite the mama helper, she is full of vocabulary surprises, and she enjoys acting, singing, and mimicking her favorite films. She is going to be one awesome lady when she's all grown up!

And baby Josh turned 8 months on Sunday! He is ever growing, a giggle monster that never stops smiling, and he's really entertained and intrigued by his older sisters. It won't be long before he's running and chasing these girls! He is a pure bundle of joy and we are so lucky to have him!

7 months: Disneyland: horses

These are Joshua's seven month pics. He's a big boy (over 20 pounds) and is still happy as ever!

Jaycee had her preschool Hoe Down. She is too cute!

And Disneyland Part II: We had to use our tickets, so we headed out and had a blast. We got so much done and the girls are still talking about their trip!

Jaycee wasn't afraid at all to get on Kalisz and Bulldozer this weekend!

I'm a little late on the baby stats, but here are Joshua's six month pics. At his last doc appointment, he was 5.5 months old. He weighed in at nearly 20 pounds and 27 inches long. He wears size 12 months clothes and is a bundle of happiness. She smiles non-stop and enjoys watching his very loud sisters play. He can't wait to join them, as he kicks his legs and squeals. He has just started eating some solids, consuming carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, peaches, bananas, and apples. He is almost seven months old already, so new pics to come soon!

We went to Legoland last week for teacher appreciation days. The girls had lots of fun. Poor Jayden was able to ride too many rides though, since she's a little on the short side. She still had a good time riding along in the stroller. 

One thing Jayden did get to ride was this airplane ride. It was a little rough around the corners, and this picture sums it up perfectly. Jaycee thought the wildness was great, Jayden screamed the entire ride, but did volunteer to ride again with Mama. She screamed the whole time, again :)

A few small boat rides for Joshua. And a few great hours of sleep.
