Joshua's 11 Months!

I CANNOT believe that he is almost 1 year old! These first few pictures remind of the "poop or chocolate" scene from some movie. This was definitely chocolate! Gross anyway!

His crazy sisters playing silly. These girls are wild animals, and they are wild about each other. They play, fight, play, fight, etc.

And if you look really closely at one of these pictures you can see Josh's pearly whites on the bottom. He has about 3 teeth on the bottom now. His upper teeth will be making an appearance any day now. He is a love bug that always gives Daddy a hard time. He is the ultimate Mama's boy and I love every minute of it! I hope he stays this way for a very, very long time. I can wish. . .

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend at Mum and Pa's house visiting with Opa Mike. These should have been really cute pictures, but getting three children under four to smile at the same time looking at the same person is impossible. These are some of the cute ones though.

Josh was only sad because his big sister was pretending to be sad. He wasn't sure what was going on. Figures Jayden isn't the one who is crying in this pic! Maybe someday they'll all smile for the camera.

Can you see Jaycee's Roseola rash? She got a random full bodied rash Saturday morning. We are happy to report that it has all disappeared! Whew! That was weird and scary!

Baby Josh: 10 Months!

I did not forget that my little boy's 10 month birthday went by. We have been beyond busy with work, school, and life. He wasn't as cooperative as I would've hoped for his 10 month pics, but at least one came out smiling :)

And there's also a more recent pic of him "driving." He is adorable!!! He is gliding around, he can "soldier" crawl very fast, and he loves to pester his big sisters. He's eating more big boy food, even though he still only has two very small bottom teeth sticking out so far. I'm hoping someday he'll sleep through the night, but for now. . . he's a bit of a pill in the nighttime hours. We love our little man!

Jaycee's Pre-K

Jaycee Lynn officially started her Pre-K classroom this week. She is going MWF, full days still. She loves her new classroom and new teachers. They are going to focus more on structured classroom routines to help prepare for Kinder. I can't believe she's only one year away from Kinder! Here are a few pics of her very first day. She still has her emotional good-byes, but the tears end quickly and she's ready to rock and roll.

And on another note: Joshua finally got his first little tooth poking through! It's his bottom left and it's nice and sharp! Hopefully we'll have some quieter nights now.

Joshua Gunnar: 9 months

A little late on the 9 month posting, but better late than never! Josh is 9 months now (more like 9.5 really) and he is still a bundle of happiness. He loves to play with his sisters and the animals. He thinks being rough and tough is fun and has even started to throw his weight around a little. He still does not have a single tooth in that big grin of his, although there are two on the bottom threatening to pop out any day now. He still does not sleep during the night and is the crankiest, loudest screamer ever when he awakens. I am so grateful he doesn't act that way during the day! He is soldier crawling all of the place and likes to try standing and gliding around the edge of furniture. I don't think he'll be a crawler for long because he has too many girls to chase and he'll need feet for those adventures. His eyes are bluer than ever and his dimples are deeper than ever. He is quite the ladies man and a major flirt. He loves the ladies!

More Solvang Pictures!

Here is the family berry picking for raspberries and blackberries. I love that Jayden's face is stuffed full of raspberries, while her basket is completely empty.

We went to the Little Red School house for an afternoon of playground fun. The weather was perfect and Jaycee did an awesome job on the rope swing. She is such a big girl now!

We were busy on the 4th of July with the Solvang parade and the fireworks/BBQs, but there were a few good pics from the day's fun.

And some photos from La Purisima Mission in Lompoc and the Nature Center at Cachuma Lake. The girls really enjoyed the Nature Center with all the hands on activities. They were really interested in the poop boxes (they showed the scat of the animal with the picture of the animal on the back) and Jaycee did really well grinding the acorns with the Indian stones.
