Turkey Day; Jayden's 3rd Bday; Xmas 2012

Well, it's been busy enough and long enough that I can post 3 major holidays from our household! We had a Happy Thanksgiving with friends and family. The kiddos had a great time. It was sunny, so my girls thought they wanted to swim (a bit cold for that though). Jayden turned 3 years old on December 12th!!! We can't believe she is growing so fast. She talks all the time and has the greatest perspective on the world. She is quite the comedian, and doesn't even mean to be. . . she just naturally is. She is a bossy little mother to her little brother and her big sister's biggest supporter. She is the quintessential "middle" child. Xmas was great fun as well! We started with presents from Santa at home, followed up by way too many presents at Oma Sue's house, Mum and Pa's house, and ended our evening at the Fowler's for a little white elephant exchange. Fun stuff with too many toys to count. Now, if only someone had supplied Mommy and Daddy with a bigger house to put all that stuff in :)

Halloween 2012

We made it down to the beach/small pumpkin patch before Halloween. Uncle Dave and Tay Tay went down with us. We also celebrated Baby Josh's birthday for the 3rd time that week at Benihana. Everyone loved their meal!

We stopped by the beach after we ate. The girls were having a great time playing in the sand and running in the waves, until a wave came up and took Jayden down! You can see the progression of pics below. Poor baby. It wasn't as much fun after she fell. But, she did have tons of sand to bring home with her. Josh thought the sand was pretty neat, neat enough to taste. He wasn't so sure about the taste, but I think he did like the texture grinding between his little teeth.

Then we had Jaycee's 2012 Halloween program/performance at PreK. She chose to be Sleeping Beauty this year; Jayden was Izzy (from the Neverland Pirates show); Josh was a dragon.

Joshua Gunnar is 1

These are the pictures from Josh's real birthday on the 17th. He is a handsome little devil!

We decided to get a cookie decorating kit for his birthday treat this year. Since we knew he was going to have tons of cake for his birthday party, we thought it would be fun for everyone to make their own ghost and pumpkin cookies. He did get messy and the cookie did end up all over the floor after it had been hanging out on top of this head. Boys are way messier than girls!

Here are the pictures from Josh's first birthday party. He was a little unsure about digging right in with the cake, but he eventually realized that the taste was sweet enough to enjoy, even with everyone staring at him.

So tired after a long eventful day!

And you can see his jumbo monster teeth well in this one.
