Nice weather= Nice pictures

Putting the girls in matching outfits has to be the BEST part of having little ones close in age. How adorable are they?

Since it was sunny and warm out yesterday, we decided to have lunch by the pool. Jaycee played in the cold water, ate her pizza, and wore her sunglasses with style! Can't wait for even warmer weather and everyday by the pool! Summer is just around the corner. :)

Up Close Pictures of Jaycee Lynn

These are some of the same pictures that are shown below, just zoomed in a bit to see that adorable face!

And So Spring Break Begins!

It could not have been a more perfect spring day today as we went walking at the Santa Rosa Plateau with Mum, Oma Sue, and Amanda. Jaycee had a great time and there were plenty of nice pictures to take.

The Best Kiddos in the World!

What is better than coming home from work on a Monday afternoon, having spent a wonderful fun-filled weekend, and hearing "Mama, miss you!" from your two year old that is giving you a hug and kiss- followed by the biggest and brightest smile that a 3 1/2 month old can give?
NOTHING! There is nothing better than that welcome!

**Cute little story:
Jaycee went to put on pajamas last night before bed. She reminded me that she needed a diaper because she had "pee pee" in there. Then she told me "poopoo" just to get a reaction out of me. (My reaction is always "Eeww, stinky") When I asked her if she had poopoo, she smiled and laughed and said "NO!". Then as I went to changer her diaper for the evening, she proceeded to tell me "TOLD YOU" in the loudest, proudest voice she could make. Yes, Jaycee told me, and surprise, surprise, Jaycee was right! Now, if only we could get the "told you so" on the big girl potty, we'd be in business! (Jaycee did actually run to the bathroom last night and sit on the big girl potty though. She thought she was going to give it a try. Nothing came out, but she definitely gets a A for effort and enthusiasm! :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2010

Happy Saint Patrick's Day. We are definitely NOT Irish in any way, shape, or form, but it's fun to dress the girls in green nonetheless!

Jayden is growing like a weed. She is so cute, quiet, and loving.

A recent picture of Jaycee post major meltdown (2 year old tantrums are fun, NOT!!!).

Jayden is finally able to wear some of the cute springtime dresses. It's been colder lately, so we've been happy to have a little warm sunshine for the dress season. We didn't even know about Jayden's rolly thighs until we were able to dress her out of long sleeved pajamas.

And pictures from today. Jayden got the cutest little green outfit from Mum. The best part of having two little ones so close in age is the clothing that comes in matching patterns and colors!

We couldn't exactly get the nicest smile out of Jaycee Lynn today. Since turning 2, she has become the photographer and not the one to be pictured. If you're noticing some marks on her face, those would be from Bella, our fat tempermental Chihuahua. One minute she likes to be pet, the other she's sick of it. Jaycee and Bella have been warned numerous times about playing nicely together: obviously neither entity heeded the warning!

"WAIT" That is Jaycee's current word of the day. Here's how a conversation goes with her nowadays:
Jaycee, do you want to take a shower?
WAIT!!!!
Jaycee, can I have my iPhone back?
WAIT!!!!
Jaycee, do you want to change your diaper?
WAIT!!!
Jaycee, do you want an Oreo?
One, one, one (while showing you the number one on her finger). She is well aware of the deal, only one cookie at a time. . .
So she does have other words in her vocabulary!

**Cutest story yet:
So Dada was trying to help Jayden fall asleep today. She was a little whiney (that's the height of Jayden's cry). He tried holding her, putting her in her bed, her bouncer, walking around with her. Nothing worked. He finally decided to put her in her swing. He was trying to calm her by talking to her once she was in the swing. Jaycee noticed and come over, too. Jaycee said "No crying, Jayden. No crying." Simultaneously, she also rubbed her face gently. Jayden calmed down, fell asleep, and stayed that way for hours. Oh, the joy of having a nice older sister. How sweet is Jaycee??? And how adorable of Jayden to actually find comfort in Jaycee even though most of her days are spent yelling in her little ears!

My, Oh My!

Where does the time go??

Our girls are getting bigger and bigger everyday. Jaycee now speaks volumes of words and is a parrot as well. It's nice to have her communicate using words, but it's also not so great when she copies everything! Jaycee enjoys dressing up with her clothes and jewelry. She is such a nice big sister, too. She kisses Jayden, takes care of her by teaching her how to read flashcards, and even laughs when Jayden looks at her. Jaycee is also so technologically advanced. She plays with the iPhone every single day, and I even had a new background picture on my phone thanks to her. We've been so busy that I don't have any new pictures worth while, but there will be some soon!

Jayden is already 12 weeks old and no one can say where the time has gone. She smiles and coos, she is the happiest baby in the world! She sleeps for 8-10 hours per night without waking up, and is so happy to see the world when she does open her eyes. She LOVES her big sister and cannot stop looking at her. It's a good thing Jaycee is such a natural born leader/teacher because Jayden is going to be learning a lot from her big sister.
